Nutritional HealthCheck

The Nutritional HealthCheck enables us to test for the optimum nutritional requirement of the individual and helps us decide whether you need supplementation.

There are three reasons for using nutritional supplements:

  • if you have a deficiency.
  • to ensure optimal intake, for example for those with poor diets, or poor digestive systems, who are unable to absorb reasonable levels of nutrients on a daily basis - an 'insurance policy' approach to maintain good health and well-being.
  • for therapeutic benefits - for example, the use of vitamin B6 at high dosage for PMS.

The Nutritional HealthCheck enables us to decide whether you need nutritional supplements over and above your dietary intake of vitamins, minerals and other nutrients.

Key Benefits

  • Cost-effective - current cost is £50, although the price is subject to change at no notice.
  • Questionnaire can be completed at home in your own comfort and at your leisure.
  • Covers all vitamins, minerals, essential fatty acids or nutritional oils.
  • Results calculated and provided in a follow-up consultation of 15 minutes.
  • Included Customised Eating profile to address nutrient deficiency.
  • Recommends any nutritional supplements you need.
  • May be complimented by our Vitamin and Mineral test, which will enable us to test for any deficiency.

Who should have the test?

Anyone who has any health problems, or anyone who wants to stay healthy.   There is truth in the saying 'you are what you eat' although we would qualify this by saying 'you are what you process and absorb from what you eat.'

It may be particularly useful for the following:

  • People with a poor diet, who regularly eat processed food or ready-prepared meals, or anyone who does not eat the recommended 5 portions of fruit or vegetables every day - that is, most people!
  • People undertaking a slimming or weight loss or maintenance programme.
  • People with digestive problems, including irritable bowel, inflammatory bowel, indigestion and others.
  • People with allergies - including hay fever, sinusitis, rhinitis, asthma, eczema, and others.
  • People with any other symptoms.
  • People who want to optimise their health, prevent illnesses and maintain their well-being into the future.

Other tests to consider

  • Vitamin & Mineral test - to assess for any deficiency.
  • Amino Acid profile - to assess amino acid levels for possible deficiency.
  • BetterHealthCheck - to assess overall health.
